Wild Spring Edibles Plant Walk

This event has been cancelled.

Listen to the birds sing, watch tender shoots expand and leaf buds burst as Spring unfurls. Join Rachael and the QuietHeart Wilderness School community as we explore the wild edible plant world. In this class we will identify unfurling spring plants, discuss ethical and honorable harvesting, forage a wild edible meal, and discuss ways of processing and storing plants.

Participants will learn how to prepare meals with our wild green allies and make herbal gourmet infusions. They will also receive detailed handouts covering recipes of nourishing plant preparations, ethical harvesting, toxicity, and further resources.

This class is intended to enhance your connection to local plants by eating on the wild side. It will help you and your family know why what grows where and how our green allies nourish our bodies.
