Join Rachael at Herban Wellness for the first class of a 3-part medicine making series! This series is focused on internal remedies- from teas to tinctures to glycerites. We will do deep into the how-to’s while creating our own. This is an awesome opportunity for folks that want hands on learning or have questions about the medicine making process!
“Glycerin can be used in the place of honey and alcohol to make a strong, yet sweet, shelf-stable medicine.”
Herbal glycerites can be used internally as an alcohol-free supplement or in topical sprays, creams, lotions, and other combinations. Join community herbalist, Rachael Witt of Wildness Within, for a workshop all about herb-infused glycerites. We will explore topics such as what makes a glycerin and how it works as an extract, while demonstrating how to infuse both fresh and dried herbs. Rachael will show you the start-to-finish process as well as ways to combine your finished glycerite in formulas. Some examples include kid-friendly tinctures, first aid and bug sprays, and calming herbal blends.
