To make a strong, stable, and medicinal herbal infused oil is truly an art.

Herbal infused oils have many uses that include internal consumption, topical aromatherapy as well as external used such as body moisturizers, salves, and creams. Join community herbalist, Rachael Witt, for a workshop delving into herbs used for infused oils. Highlighted herbs may include eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, chamomile, yarrow and calendula.

We will address how to best infuse each herb based on their medicinal actions as well as ways of harvesting and processing for potent and therapeutic oils. Additionally, we will teach about what types of oils to use, different oil infusion methods, oops! cautionary tales of oils, and various ways to incorporate herbal oils into your life.

Each participant will go home within- class oil preparations, fresh herbs, a handout with recipes, and, most importantly, hands on experience with making herbal infused oils.
