Come join us at the Duvall Herb Farm and enjoy a day with Milky Oats!
Together we will harvest the abundance of milky oats and oatstraw (Avena sativa) and make herbal remedies using methods of folk herbalism. Participants will learn how to grow and harvest Avena Sativa as well as how to process the plant to be used as food and medicine. We will drink Milky Oat infusion, harvest from the bountiful field, and process the milky oats into fresh tinctures and make bundles of oatstraw for drying. All participants will go home with a fresh Milky Oat tincture and a bundle of oatstraw.
All levels of experience are welcome! Ages 10-12 are welcome to come with an adult.

*Includes cost of supplies to make milky oat tincture to take home, oatstraw to take home, milky oat infusion during the workshop, a farm tour, and a hands-on experience taught by Rachael and Lindsay.

Gardening Gloves
Camping Chair or something to portable/comfortable to sit on
Snacks and water (we will not be providing any food at the workshop)
