Wild Botanicals is a series of classes created on the basis of the harvest season in Snoqualmie Valley. Classes are in-person, outside and within the ecosystem of the plant(s). Students will learn botanical ID, look alikes, growth habits and harvesting ethics, plant processing and preparations. We will work with both wild and cultivated plants with edible and/or medicinal uses based on the class theme. Students are encouraged to bring their own in-field medicine making materials to experience the full process of field to kitchen medicine.
Spring season is one of the most enticing times to be out in wild with plants. From steady rain fall, to warming weather and increased daylight – the plants are thriving! Join Rachael for this 6 class series to embody the Spring wild harvest season.
