Rachel Burrington

Rachel is a licensed esthetician living and working in North Bend, WA. Her skincare studio, Healing Beauty Project, is a space for people to tap back into their innate beauty - however that manifests. She offers holistic nourishing skincare rituals as well as teaching at the North Bend community center to help empower people to tend to their own skin. Burdock and nettle are her ride-or-die plant allies. 

Rachel will be teaching Skin 101.


Kristy Friend

Kristy is a nature connection mentor and energy worker who weaves together plant medicine, intuitive healing, and deep connection with the land. Her path has been shaped by immersive training with the Wilderness Awareness School’s Wild Plant Intensive, the Wildness Within Herbal Apprenticeship and Advanced Herbal Apprenticeship, and ongoing study in relationship with the plants themselves.

She has also trained in plant spirit healing with Pam Montgomery, exploring co-creative partnerships with the intelligence and spirit of the natural world. In addition to her herbal work, Kristy is trained in both Western Reiki and Jikiden Reiki, and brings a gentle, grounded presence to her energy work and nature-based mentorship.  

She currently lives on Vashon with her daughter, Zoey.

Kristy will be teaching Motherwort Plant Spirit Medicine.


Meredyth Given

A lifelong seeker, Meredyth has been drawn to time-tested teachings that help us navigate the human condition. Studying Buddhism, Tantra, and other ancient wisdom traditions—always with the heart of a beginner— She has explored many paths, yet it is Tara who has spoken most deeply, offering guidance, compassion, and inspiration along the way. She approaches practice with humility, curiosity, and a deep respect for its roots.

Meredyth will be teaching Meet Green Tara.


Wendy Jordan

Wendy Jordan is a medicinal herb farmer in Woodinville, WA, with over a decade of experience in gardens and on farmland, and 35 years as a professional chef. Her deep connection with farmers throughout her culinary career inspired her current path. Wendy now teaches youth culinary classes, focusing on essential cooking skills while fostering a deeper understanding of how food is grown and how we can support the environment with gratitude. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, knitting, foraging, exploring with her dogs, and getting her hands in the soil.

Wendy farms alongside co-farmer/owner, Kaitlin, at Willow Bark Botanicals.

Wendy will be teaching Tool Sharpening & Tending.


Danielle Lail

I’m Danielle (she/her) an herbal apprentice with Wildness Within. I run the creatures, critters and climate book club and completed the Wild Plant Intensive with the Wilderness Awareness School in 2023. I believe that gardening and herbalism are political acts and a key way to drive community. I love nervines, books, cats and I tend four garden beds.

Danielle will be teaching Herbalism as a Radical Act.


Kimberly Lorton

Kimberly combines her athleticism, academic rigor, and a deeply empathetic approach into her work with clients and students. This approach has been shaped by her own life experiences, challenges, and her many recoveries. As a teacher at the Soma Institute, she helps students build confidence, explore their potential, and develop a compassionate connection with their bodies. As a practitioner her goal is to support each person in her practice to do the same and to meet them exactly where they are in their life and their embodiment journey. ​

Nicole Marie

Nicole Marie is a Ritual Storyteller and Astrologer with Embodied Storytellers, weaving myth, movement, and the cosmos into transformative experiences for communities around the world. She has collaborated with Lucid Dance in Berlin, Germany, holding monthly rituals and festivals, and curated Ritual Performances for Delphi Theatre inspired by the Celtic Wheel of the Year. Nicole is a featured Storyteller in youth and adult rites of passage programs for Wilderness Awareness School, and the founder of the Storytelling Festival: Connecting to Place in Duvall, Washington. Through seasonal, new moon, and full moon gatherings, Nicole guides participants into deeper connection with their own stories, the cycles of nature, and the rhythms of the stars.

Kristin Olson

A curious minded, playful bodied human who finds home when surrounded by trees & the fragrance of plants. Kristin is a physical therapist, training east asian herbalist, student of medical qigong, and curator of retreat & festival spaces. She has a passion for assisting others to learn the language of their body, listen with care, and find alignment within themselves and their surrounding communities & ecosystems.

Rachael Witt

Rachael loves her students, sacred sisters, chosen family, and plants. Her work in life is weaving together the sacred and profane - mostly through teaching the wonderful ways of plants. She is here because of you and carries abundance of gratitude for her plant community.

She will be leading a plant walk as well as co-leading Weaving Together.


Amisha Sera Luna Cherry Zuber

Amisha is a multifaceted community builder who gains great joy from singing with others. It fills her heart to lead, catch and carry songs, and to help people to fully embrace their voices and fully inhabit their bodies,  whether in a song circle, one of her Pilates classes, or through teaching others to weave with natural materials and fibers. She is grateful to be a part Wildness Within’s first herbal retreat!
